Embark on your trek at the Machame Gate, beginning in a dense rainforest. The trail gradually ascends through picturesque landscapes, leading to the Machame Camp. Distance: 11km, Hours: 5-7, Temperature: 25°C, Landscape: Rainforest

Traverse through heather and moorland, catching glimpses of the Shira Plateau. The trek takes you to the Shira 2 Camp, surrounded by stunning vistas. Distance: 5km, Hours: 4-6, Temperature: 15°C, Landscape: Moorland.

Ascend to the Lava Tower for acclimatization, witnessing the transition to alpine desert. Descend to the Barranco Camp, nestled in a valley beneath the imposing Barranco Wall. Distance: 10km, Hours: 6-8, Temperature: 10°C, Landscape: Alpine Desert.

Navigate the Barranco Wall and traverse to Karanga Valley, an elevated desert oasis. Continue to the Barafu Camp, positioned for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. Distance: 9km, Hours: 8-10, Temperature: -5°C, Landscape: High Desert.
