The trek kicks off from Moshi to the Rongai Gate, the starting point of the Rongai Route. A scenic drive brings you to the gate, where the ascent begins. The trail winds through lush rainforests, offering glimpses of exotic flora and fauna. Covering approximately 8 kilometers, the day takes around 5-7 hours, culminating at Simba Camp, your first campsite nestled in the wilderness.

Leaving the rainforest behind, the trek enters moorland terrain. The day's journey spans around 13 kilometers, taking approximately 6-8 hours, as you ascend to the Second Cave. Marvel at the changing landscapes and the vastness of the slopes of Kilimanjaro.

Continuing through alpine deserts, you trek approximately 9 kilometers, lasting around 5-7 hours, to reach the Third Cave. The day offers panoramic views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks, providing a glimpse of the challenges that lie ahead.

The landscape transforms as you ascend toward Kibo Hut, covering about 15 kilometers over 6-8 hours. Located at 4,700 meters, Kibo Hut is the final campsite before the summit attempt, offering a stark alpine environment and a sense of the altitude awaiting you.

The most challenging day unfolds with a midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak, spanning approximately 21 kilometers and taking 12-16 hours.
