Package itinerary
The trek officially commences as you leave Moshi and head to the Rongai Gate. The trail weaves through lush rainforests, offering glimpses of unique flora and fauna. Arriving at Simba Camp, you will be enchanted by the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The temperature is a pleasant 15°C, and you will cover approximately 8 kilometers.

Accommodations: Simba Campsite
Leaving Simba Camp, the terrain transforms as you ascend to the Second Cave. The landscape becomes more rugged, revealing the volcanic origins of Kilimanjaro. You will cover around 10 kilometers, with temperatures dropping to 10°C. Marvel at the changing scenery, from dense vegetation to the rocky outcrops.

Accommodations: Second Cave Campsite
The journey to Kikelewa Cave introduces you to the alpine desert, a stark contrast to the previous day's lush surroundings. You will cover approximately 12 kilometers, with temperatures hovering around 5°C. As you ascend, the vegetation gives way to expansive views, creating a sense of isolation and connection with the mountain.

Accommodations: Kikelelwa Campsite
The trail takes you to Mawenzi Tarn, situated in the shadow of Kilimanjaro's second-highest peak, Mawenzi. The distance covered is around 8 kilometers, with temperatures dropping to 0°C. The landscape becomes more otherworldly, with expansive views of glaciers and the looming presence of Mawenzi.

Accommodations: Mawenzi Turn Campsite
The most challenging day unfolds as you ascend to Uhuru Peak, the summit of Kilimanjaro. Starting from Mawenzi Tarn, you will traverse through Kibo Hut before reaching the summit. The distance covered is approximately 20 kilometers, and temperatures can plummet to -10°C. The lunar-like landscape and the breathtaking sunrise at the summit make every step worth the effort.

Accommodations: Horombo Hut
Celebrate your summit success as you descend from Uhuru Peak to Kibo Hut and then continue down to Horombo Hut. The descent covers about 27 kilometers, offering a different perspective of Kilimanjaro. Reflect on your achievement amidst the changing landscapes, with temperatures ranging from -5°C to 15°C.
