Distance: 11 km Duration: 6-7 hours Temperature: 20°C 25°C The Machame Gate marks the beginning of our ascent. Trekking through lush rainforests, you will witness the transition in flora and fauna, reaching the Machame Camp nestled under the towering Kilimanjaro peaks. Landscapes: Dense rainforest, diverse vegetation, glimpses of wildlife.

Distance: 5 km Duration: 4-6 hours Temperature: 15°C 20°C Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail leads to the Shira Plateau. As you ascend, panoramic views of the Shira Cathedral and the vast expanse of the plateau unfold, offering a taste of the diverse landscapes Kilimanjaro has to offer. Landscapes: Moorland, Shira Plateau views, unique plant species.

Distance: 4 km Duration: 4 hours Temperature: -5°C 5°C Ascending to Barafu Camp, the landscape becomes more barren as you approach the arctic zone. Barafu, meaning "ice" in Swahili, is your last stop before the summit push, offering breathtaking views and a surreal sense of anticipation. Landscapes: Alpine desert, looming glaciers, Barafu Campsite.

Distance: 13 km Duration: 12-16 hours Temperature: -10°C -5°C (Summit), 5°C 15°C (Mweka Camp) The most challenging yet rewarding day. A pre-dawn start takes you to the summit, Uhuru Peak, where the sun rises over Africa. Descending to Mweka Camp, you will reflect on the triumphs of the journey. Landscapes: Glacial ascent, Uhuru Peak sunrise, volcanic terrain.
