The adventure commences as you depart from Moshi or Arusha to the Londorossi Gate, marking the entrance to Kilimanjaro National Park. Trek through lush rainforests to Mti Mkubwa, soaking in the diverse flora and fauna. Distance: Approximately 6km, Duration: 3-4 hours, Temperature: 20-25°C, Landscape: Dense rainforest teeming with life.

Transitioning from the rainforest, ascend towards the Shira Plateau. Witness the landscape change to moorlands, offering expansive vistas. Reach Shira 1 Camp, nestled amidst stunning surroundings. Distance: Around 8km, Duration: 5-7 hours, Temperature: 15-20°C, Landscape: Moorland with scattered vegetation.
