Embark on your trek at Londorossi Gate, the starting point of the Northern Circuit Route. The trail leads through lush forests, revealing the stunning flora and fauna of Kilimanjaro. Hike to Big Tree Camp, covering approximately 15 km, as you experience a shift in temperature from the tropical lowlands to the cool mountain air.

Continue the ascent through Mti Mkubwa, entering the heath and moorland zone. Trek approximately 10 km to reach Shira 1 Camp, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Shira Plateau, accompanied by a drop in temperature as you climb higher.
