Package itinerary
The journey begins with a drive to the Londorossi gate before commencing the trek to Big Tree Camp. You will traverse through lush forests, experiencing a distance of approximately 7 kilometers. The landscape varies from dense vegetation to glimpses of Kilimanjaro's peak as temperatures range from 20°C to 25°C during the trek that spans roughly 4 to 6 hours.

Accommodations: Big Tree (Mti Mkubwa) Campsite
From Mti Mkubwa, the trail leads to Shira 1 Camp, covering a distance of about 10 kilometers. Ascending through heathland and moorland, the temperature can drop to 15°C to 20°C. Expect a duration of 5 to 7 hours to reach the camp.

Trekking through diverse terrains covering around 13 kilometers, passing the Lava Tower before reaching Moir Hut, the landscape transitions into alpine desert. Temperatures may fluctuate between 10°C to 15°C during a 6 to 8-hour trek.

The trail from Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp spans approximately 12 kilometers. The journey exposes arid landscapes and requires about 5 to 7 hours to traverse, with temperatures ranging from 5°C to 10°C.

Trekking about 10 kilometers towards Third Cave, the landscape evolves into a mix of rocky terrain and sparse vegetation. Expect temperatures between 5°C to 8°C during a 4 to 6-hour trek.

Accommodations: Third Cave Campsite
Covering around 8 kilometers, the path to School Hut encompasses moorlands and screes, offering views of the summit. Temperatures can drop to 0°C to 5°C during the 4 to 5-hour trek.

Accommodations: School Hut Campsite
The most challenging day involves ascending Uhuru Peak, covering about 21 kilometers. You will witness glaciers and rocky landscapes while enduring temperatures from -10°C to -5°C. The summit ascent and descent take approximately 12 to 14 hours.
