Package itinerary
The adventure commences with a drive to the Londorossi gate, the starting point of the Lemosho Route. The hike kicks off through verdant rainforests, immersing you in a variety of flora and fauna. As you trek, you cover approximately 7 kilometers, witnessing the transition from lush vegetation to the towering Mti Mkubwa, where camp awaits.

Leaving the rainforest behind, the trail opens up to the expansive Shira Plateau. Trekking across this plateau, you ascend to Shira 1 Camp, navigating through moorland. Today’s trek starts with the iconic Barranco Wall, a thrilling climb providing incredible views. The trail then winds through valleys and ridges before arriving at Karanga Camp, nestled in a scenic valley beneath the southern glaciers. The trail leads to Barafu Camp, the base for the final ascent. Trekking through the barren landscape of the alpine desert, you will witness the grandeur of Kilimanjaro’s southern glaciers. The ultimate day begins with a midnight start to reach Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. The ascent through Stella Point offers an awe-inspiring sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, descend to Barafu Camp before continuing down to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest.
