Your journey kicks off with a transfer from Moshi to Londorossi gate. Trekking through the verdant rainforest, you will reach Big Tree Camp, covering approximately 10 km. The lush surroundings and moderate temperatures provide a gentle introduction to Kilimanjaro's diverse climates.

Moving through Mti Mkubwa, the trail opens up to the expansive Shira Plateau. Today's 15 km hike brings you to Shira 1 camp, where the landscape transforms, showcasing the vastness of the Shira Plateau. Expect a mix of cloud forests and alpine desert landscapes, with temperatures dropping as you gain altitude
