Starting from Moshi, the day sees a drive to Londorossi Gate, your entry point to Kilimanjaro. Trekking through lush forests, you will reach Big Tree Camp, unveiling a distance of approximately 7 kilometers and an elevation change of 900 meters.

As you progress, the trail leads to Shira 1 Camp, traversing Mti Mkubwa. This leg spans around 11 kilometers, introducing a shift in landscape from forests to moorland, offering glimpses of wildlife along the way.
