The journey kicks off as you depart from Moshi and head to Londorossi Gate, your entry point to the Northern Circuit Route. Trek through dense rainforests, catching glimpses of endemic wildlife, before reaching the serene Big Tree Camp. The day covers a distance of approximately 7 km, offering a gentle start to the expedition.

Your ascent gains momentum as you traverse Mti Mkubwa, a giant moorland tree. The trail leads to Shira 1 Camp, situated at an elevation of 3,505 meters. A distance of 8 km unfolds amid spectacular landscapes, transitioning from rainforests to the expansive Shira Plateau
